Prayer Ministry

The ministry of prayer is growing at All Saints as we continue to nurture our relationship with Christ individually and corporately.

The Prayer Room
Our Prayer Room, across from the Great Hall, is available for individual or small group prayer throughout the week.

Do You Need Prayer?
Prayer is available during Sunday morning Eucharist with the Healing & Intercessory Prayer Ministers.  A pair of trained parishioners will pray confidentially for any concern you wish to bring before the Lord.  Opportunities for confidential, extended prayer are available during the week.  Speak to Rev. Marcia Wilkinson if you are interested in setting aside time for individual prayer with two intercessors.

Attn:  Prayer Team Ministers
Prayer ministers can now access the Prayer Team Schedule online. You will need a login and password (if you do not have this, email Noel Bradley).

Prayer Chain
Many people are on call to pray for parishioners concerns through a confidential email and phone network.  If you have a prayer need, submit it to the Prayer Chain by contacting one of the following people:
Dorothy Welsh - dwwelsh5@aol.com, (301) 365-0068
Claire West - cncwest@verizon.net, (301) 838-3030

Wednesday Morning Prayer Group has been meeting for a number of years, following the Prayer Book’s Morning Prayer service and lifting up the names of people in need, including those listed in the Sunday bulletin.  Newcomers are welcome.

Possibilities of Prayer grew out of a Lenten study in 2005.  The women have continued to meet on the first Saturday of each month (September-May) to study a prayer-related topic.  There are some opportunities for group prayer and newcomers are always welcome.

Tuesday Evening and Wednesday Noon Eucharists offer opportunities for personal prayer with clergy after each of these weekly services.

Stephen Ministry, part of our Pastoral Care Ministry, provides one-on-one, confidential, weekly care with a Stephen Minister, a listening friend, who is trained to be present to another in meeting challenging life transitions such as death, divorce, job loss, illness, separation, new baby, parenting issues, etc.  Prayer is often a part of this relationship.  For more about Stephen Ministry, go here.
