The Thrift Shop has clothing for men, women and children at very reasonable prices. In addition, we have household items, jewelry, hard and paperback books, greeting cards, purses, shoes, boots, CD's, VHS tapes, and seasonal holiday items. We do not have furniture. Donations accepted when we are open. We’re not open Mondays, but are working … so that’s a good time to bring things to our outside door by the driveway.
Where is it?
The Shop is located on the lower level in the new building, right by the driveway. We are directly under the Music Room. Look for the covered porch.
If you can't find what you are looking for when you come in, please ask the ladies at the desk. Come in and browse around. You may be surprised at the wide variety of things that we have.
About The Shop
The Shop was started by Lucille Kline in 1954, and over the years has been a successful money-maker for All Saints Church.
The proceeds are used by the Women of All Saints for their outreach and other programs. The Shop has contributed to many projects in the church, including funding its present location and contributing to the new building.
The Shop is manned by volunteers. The list of workers includes women from other churches in the area, as well as our own. Like so many of our customers, they are loyal shoppers and over the years have developed strong friendships at The Shop. The workers and the customers find it a rewarding social environment where they share joys, sorrows, recipes, advice, and all-around good fellowship.
The merchandise runs from Art to Zippers. Donations of clean, usable clothing, bric-a-brac, linens, books, etc., are welcome.
Our customers include almost everyone, and many of us augment our wardrobes with stylish items found there. The needs of the customers vary, and The Shop has clothed the Mother of the Bride, the child looking for a costume for a school play or Halloween, a camper looking for an inexpensive camp wardrobe, the victim of a split seam or spill, and even on occasion a guest at a White House function.
Merchandise from The Shop has gone to other parts of the world as customers send items to their overseas relatives, and many countries have been represented. The Shop has aided many homeless and needy persons. Volunteers are needed and welcome.
