Interested in Confirmation?
Confirmation is a process of understanding what God has done for you and for us, as Christians. It confirms what others have promised to do on our behalf, and is a time for personal spiritual growth.
We invite anyone who is interested in being confirmed, reaffirming their faith, or simply wanting to grow and discuss to join us for these confirmation gatherings. We will be referring to Dr. Zahl's Sunday morning forums (from his 5-week session from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Sundays, April 6-May 4) as a spring board for discussing major topics of Christianity. As a group, the youth will attend the Rector's Forum on April 6th. From April 13th onwards we will continue meeting in the Youth Room, watching clips from the past week's Rector's Forum and discussing these issues and answering any questions. The purpose of these discussions is to help everyone digest these topics, to discuss their relevance to middle and high school, and to encourage a comfortable, open fellowship. If you or your child would like to be confirmed, we request that the individual meet with Hawley one-on-one during the process. Please let Hawley know if you or your child are interested in being confirmed, or would like more information.
Interested in Service?
For Middle Schoolers: We are going to be helping Susan Wright, Minister to Children & Families, at the All Saints Vacation Bible School from June 23 - 27 in the mornings and helping with Southeast White House in Washington, DC in the afternoons. Our last day, we will even get to celebrate with the kids of Southeast White House with moon bounces and other fun things! Please be sure to sign up for VBS and let Hawley know that you are interested in participating. For registration form, go here (PDF).
For High Schoolers: Our high school mission trip this summer will be in Memphis, TN, from July 13 – July 19. We will be partnering with Leadertreks, and Billy Tjernlund will be our Leadership Specialist. As any of those who have attended past All Saints-LeaderTreks trips before will tell you, it will be unforgettable!
